Summer Security: Staying Ahead of the Season

July brings longer days and more events — and with them, a unique set of security challenges. From open-air festivals to retail peak periods, our teams are on the ground ensuring your venues, assets, and people remain protected around the clock.

Event Security in Focus

This summer, Vigilant has been deployed at over 30 major events across the UK — including outdoor concerts, sporting fixtures, and corporate hospitality. Our event security model combines:

• Advance intelligence and venue risk assessment
• Trained crowd-management officers
• Mobile command units with live CCTV feeds
• Post-event incident reporting and debriefs

New Officer Technology Rollout

We’ve begun rolling out body-worn cameras to all front-line officers in Tier 1 deployments. The cameras provide a real-time deterrent, protect our officers from false allegations, and give our clients an additional layer of evidence in the event of an incident.

All footage is stored securely and in compliance with UK GDPR guidelines. Officers complete a certified data-handling module before activation.

Partnership Milestone

We are thrilled to announce the renewal of our long-term contract with a leading national retail chain — now entering its sixth year. This partnership encompasses more than 80 retail sites and reflects the trust that clients place in Vigilant’s consistent delivery.
