Tackling the Rise in Retail Crime

Retail crime is at a 20-year high across the UK, with shoplifting incidents rising 37% year-on-year according to the British Retail Consortium. Vigilant is responding with an enhanced retail security package that includes:

• AI-assisted CCTV with real-time alert capabilities
• Loss prevention consulting and store layout audits
• Rapid incident response via our mobile patrol network

Our New 24hr Control Room

We have upgraded our operations centre to a purpose-built 24-hour control room in London. The new facility features:

• Dual-screen workstations for every operator
• Redundant fibre connectivity with a cellular failover
• Integration with client-side alarm systems and ANPR cameras
• A dedicated supervisor on duty at all times

This upgrade significantly increases our capacity and resilience — ensuring our clients receive faster, more reliable responses at any hour.

Training Milestones

• 142 officers completed refresher training in Q1 2024
• 28 officers achieved their Level 3 Award in Door Supervision
• 6 team leaders completed the Chartered Security Professional (CSyP) pathway modules
